About Us

Indian Traders Country and Western Club started with a small group initially showing an interest in the early pioneering days of the american continent. it was shortly after that it was decided to hold a series of dances to find any like minded people. The dances became a regular sucess and it was soon muted that the regular attendees wanted it to be formed into a club with a membership. All of this occured when we used the Ingledene Hotel in Ardrossan as our usual base However when this closed we had to up sticks and move to the hall in Monkton for a period of time. Monkton Hall turned out to be too small for the growth of the club so a move back to the Civic Centre in Ardrossan was initiated and until this year when internal improvements are being carried out we are now located in the Volunteer Rooms Irvine. October should see us back in our old venue at Ardrossan.

Our club has also produced seven live dvd`s featuring
                                                                            Blue Horizon
                                                                            American Routes
                                                                            Harris and Grant
                                                                            Rebel Rose
                                                                            The Hanks
                                                                            Mac Bailey and Desperado
                                                                            Nashville Fever
The DVD`s can be purchased at the club for £10 each. Each DVD has around  1hr of the band on stage plus an interview and a slide show of the club and the band.
Our club gives leather tokens to each member with their membership number on the back and have been seen all over the world. What started as a bit of a gimmick is now sought after all the time.
Sadly it has now came time to wind up the club as such and December 2009 will be our last club. The spring break is still going ahead for now and we might do the odd reunion but due to a number of things, we are as I said bringing Indian Traders to a halt. I would like to thank all the regular members that attended over the years and all the bands that came, many a great distance, to entertain us.
